The 4D Sports Driving Terrain Editor 1.1

Finally, a terrain editor for Mindscape's 4D Sports Driving!

In case you don't know, 4D Sports Driving (4D) by Mindscape is a car
racing game that was released in 1990 and one of the best games
ever (besides Quake, Doom and Monkey Island I+II). What makes it so
special is that you can create your own tracks and that the laws of
phyiscs don't apply in this game i.e. your car can make extraordinarily
long jumps without taking any damage. This combined with a broad variety
of different cars to choose from, makes it a great game of which I will
probably never get tired playing. So, THANKS Mindscape!!!!

Despite all this praising 4D had one major drawback; you couldn't
edit the terrain i.e. rivers and mountains but you had to choose
from 5 given scenarios. So I've programmed a little editor to do
exactly that.
(Acually, there is a built in scenery editor, I just didn't know of it when
programming this one. Just hit SHIFT-F1 when in the track editor and you will
get a new toolbar with all the scenery elements. Hit F1 to get back to
the normal toolbar.)

The program is fairly straight forward and therefore for the most parts
self explaining. Just load a track or start a new one using the buttons
in the buttom right corner. Then select the terrain element you want to
use (e.g. a river) in the 'toolbar' on the right and cick to map to place
it. Didn't get it? Don't worry, just cick around a bit and you will find
out yourself.

There's a check box that says 'indicate track'. If this box is checked,
the track will be indicated on the map by a black squares.
